The Paramacharya of Kanchi Mutt Sri Chandra Sekarendra Saraswathy has defined THE MOTHER.  In his words, The Mother is a selfless person who serves her children expecting nothing in return.  Everyone has our own M0ther and the relationship ends with this life.  For every birth we may not be getting the same mother.  But there is one Mother who is the same and mother of this universe we should pray and get the blessings from her the Goddess Kamakshi.

The Mother shows equal amount of love and affection to all the children irrespective of how many children she has.  Our Ancestors had a minimum of three and a maximum of 12 or thirteen and even more.  Every one of us is born from a mother and the relationship ends with this life.  Needless to say that we desert our own mother at her aged stage and send her to old age homes in this own life finding reasons for the same.

Thus The Mother, The Sun God are quoted as examples for SELFLESS LOVE AND AFFECTION AND SERVICE.

The Mother sacrifices her everything for the welfare of her children.  She can sensatice the pain in us though we are far away from her, Telepathy, she prays for the welfare of the children.  Fell sorry for those who lost their mother at their early age.

In another context, the Mother shows more affection and gives priority to the weakest child.  She takes more care and shows more attention and thrives to bring up the weakest child.  If the child is physically weak she nourishes the child with nutrients and if the child is mentally weak then she gives extra coaching to the child.

FINALLY A FOOTNOTE:  Do not ever ask your mother, how much affection she has for you in front of any of your brothers and sisters, for she THE MOTHER will become so embarrassed!!!!!!
