Almost every one of us must have felt this condition at least once or twice in our life. A feeling of uneasiness in the stomach and vomit contacting the abdominal muscles. Vomiting sensation arises due to various conditions including food poison, excess alcohol intake, indigestion, headache, pregnancy, a very many reasons.
I want to discuss about the vomiting sensation during travelling. As soon as one boards a bus or car or any mode of transport for that matter, or a while later they feel like vomiting. This makes their travel a most nasty one and they enjoy a very little or nothing.
If they sit in the opposite direction to the direction in which the vehicle runs the situation worsens. This was true in my case also before I started learning Yoga. I had a nick name too. Now a days I travel a lot and no disturbance of vomiting.
My best advice to all is do have tender coconut regularly. Avoid oily food during travel and a day before too take oil free food. Fresh fruit juices, pomegranate, dry grapes and honey are good.
Kabhalabhathi – pranayama is a very good remedy. Practice yoga at least for six months and you will definitely feel better.
For pregnant women, do not take any medicine for NAUSEA. Take the above recommended things and additionally an ayurvedic medicine named MATHULANGA RASAYANA can be taken to reduce the sensation.
Normally homemade remedies are sufficient and only in chronic cases Doctors’ Diagnose is compulsory.
In the case of children, do not forget to take sufficient water for drinking and also a small amount of salt and sugar as a precautionary measure while travelling. Prevent dehydration.
I hear people saying, “ I have vomiting problem and so I do not travel” I pity them. Take or follow the above said measures and there after you won’t hesitate to travel.
