AN ELECTORAL CANDIDATE

ELECTION is the hottest word firing everywhere in the atmosphere, denser than the Oxygen in the Air. How many people are directly involved in the Election directly and how many are involved indirectly-is a million dollar question. How much is spent for collecting these many people for a meeting is again a big question mark.

 "RULER" in Ancient Texts is a word used with much more respect than what it is now. In Hindu mythology 'kshathriyas', pertaining to a particular caste were alone eligible to become rulers. They had certain qualities which are necessary for a ruler. Qualities like Braveness, intellect and prowess, gratitude, association with great people, truthful, righteous, resolute etc., are inevitable.

 प्रजाबिस्थु बन्धुमन्थो राजान: न ग्न्यथिबी:--IT IS ONLY THE subject WHO ARE RELATED to a King and not his own kith and kin. There were rulers who were Honest and Earnest, least bothered about their own comfort and Life, the Epics of India are live example. They ruled their kingdom as per the Law, rules and regulations and neither they deviated from the same nor they allowed their own relations deviate. Punishments were so severe and extended up to CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. Can we expect this kind of rulers today?

 SCENARIO of today is completely changed. The rulers disregard rules and regulations, They rather capture power and 'centered' on the welfare of their own People, least bothered about the Nation. What to say about the Welfare of the NATURE? "SELFISH MOTTO" can be a descent word to describe the Politicians of today. There may be one or two exceptions too!!!

UNIVERSAL truth is that you cannot carry or rather you will not be allowed to carry even a single pie along with you after Death. None of your kith and kin is going to accompany you either. You will be slowly forgotten. Nobody cares about your re-birth and all. Then, why don't you, as a Politician, be more of a clean hand than be corrupt?

RACE, CASTE, CREED, COLOR, educated or less educated, age to some extent, rich or poor, or even Nationality too does not stop anybody from becoming a Leader.  It is wide open to every one born.  Salutation to DEMOCRACY.
QUALITIES of the Ruler is the thing to be concerned about.  Be it SHE/HE,

1.  be magnanimous like RAMA, 
2. be Honest like Harischandra, Mahathma Gandhi,  

     3. talk less for the sake of truth like the like the Rulers of Raghuvamsa as described by the Poet Kalidasa[सत्याय  मितभाषिणाम]

LET  all the Electoral Candidates sit aside and read for a while, the qualities of Great Rulers of the Past and the qualities of Worst Rulers and decide themselves.  There is no true HERO WORSHIP now-a-days, people are more aware, only if the rulers are true, people will respect.

AWARENESS OF ANIMAL-KIND HAVE INCREASED TO A LARGER EXTENT
      MORE SO IN THE CASE OF MAN-KIND.
